My bf, as Parn, this is a dream costume of his, and he finally got the chance to make it. Myself as Deedlit.
About my deedlit costume: This costume was quite a task, but the bulk of this costume was made the week of the con XD;; Unfortunately i had no time during the school semester to work on this, except a few hours to start on the embroidery on the weekend before the con. The armor turned out way better than I could've ever imagined, it's shiny, glossy and the raised lines on top turned out nice and clean which i'm super happy about ^^
The "elf boots" were hand made, and i tried replicating Deedlit's shoes as much as possible. I think the boots are cute, in there own way XD!
The most time consuming part was the embroidery there is over 50+ hours of work, ALL done by hand no machine work, and i'm still surprised >_> The armholes, the collar, and the large chest design was my first time embroidering, and i hope to try this again and improve on this technique.
The materials for the outfit were a bit pricey, but i think it was well worth the cost- the cape is made of royal crepe, with lined fabric on the inside, the dress is made out of gabardine, the armwarmers and elf boots were made out of synthetic suede that has a wrinkled texture on it which has a nice sheen to it, and with leather cording to wrap around each piece. The belt was made with marble-ized brown vinyl.
You both look awesome! What was the armor made from?

I love the picture. Very sweet. It seems more like stumbling upon a meeting between the two from the angle that this is taken from. The costumes look great also.
Wow, both of you look amazing. Both the clothes and the armor are gorgeous and you both even really rather look like the characters (I know that's the point of cosplay, but you really accomplish it).
Not to mention the beautiful angle of the camera and light effects.
Very nice. I liked this show and thought that Parn and Deedlit were just too cute. ^_^ I love your costumes! I've been wanting to cosplay for the past five years, but sadly there isn't much for cons where I live
I'm quite impressed with this duet. As if the composition of the photo isn't enough, the detail in the costumes and the poses are absolutely darling.
I love this.
Keep it up.
I am..inspired.
Some people have been asking me about this stuff so I decided to gather all information in one single article on how to make your own portfolio, in a profesional and clean looking way. I hope it's useful, because these steps I myself take.
In this article I will provide you some ideas how you can build your own homestudio for considerably cheaper price than it would cost to use "official" studio gear. I will also show you few examples where I have used the gear I describe during this article.
DeviantArt is full of extremely well produced artistic fashion and fine art photographs. Make up. Styling. Creation of scenery. Story. Light. Glamour. A combination of these expressions sometimes make up a great photograph. But the protagonists of these pictures are usually female.
So... now it's the time for male models to come into focus.
`karemelancholia is one of the most genuine deviants you could ever met. Always active and a true deviantART cheerleader and supporter in every aspect. You can always count on her to lend a hand or get involved, and you usually will find her doing large amounts of both at any given moment. She's consistently reports on contests around dA, showcases the efforts of her fellow artists and shows her charitable side through various activities. Besides all of this, she's a truly talented artist which is why she's an obvious choice for deviousness this month. Read More
